  50. This procedure creates and opens a temporary file.  The file will
  51. be removed when it is closed or when the process exits.  The return
  52. value from \fBtmpfile\fR is a pointer to the opened stream, which
  53. may be used for performing I/O to and from the file.  If an error
  54. occurred in opening the file, \fBNULL\fR is returned.
